The desert is a cruel and unforgiving place, and that was before Fuzan corrupted the sun against it. Dry air, filled with sand particles, leech all moisture from the body, leaving you dehydrated, exhausted and with no respite in view. Oases can be mirages, tricks played by the dunes to lure you deeper into your own destruction. These robes help to limit some of the desert’s power, through ancient tricks learned by those who have dwelled within the dunes for generations. These simple leggings are all that stands between you and obliteration by a sandstorm. Sand can be sharp, it can be abrasive and, given time, it can wear a person down to nothing but the memory of them in another person’s mind. Cloth won’t stop that, not really, but it will delay the obliteration long enough for you to get to shelter when the worst of the storm hits. You’ll still want to run, though.
