Moon Garou scouts scour the desert armed with these bows. The sands obscure much until you’re right on top of it and so these bows are often more useful than the longer ranged weapons, against the dangers of the desert. In the camps, the eldest garou will often teach the young cubs how to handle a shortbow. They will have the youngsters unleash a volley of arrows at clay pots, straw dolls, or cacti, and help train them to fire with greater accuracy. Many of the young cubs will keep the shortbow with them as they grow into adulthood, using it as a decorative piece in their home -- a sign of a youth well spent, and a reminder that nothing lasts forever.
